The Subaru Crosstrek has never been a fast car. But when the most recent model was introduced in 2024 with extra weight and no added power, it became even slower, like 9.5 seconds to 60 mph slow. But now that Subaru has announced that it is dropping the base 2.0-liter from the Crosstrek lineup for 2026, those laggard acceleration figures should be left in the past.
