Subaru has been slow to adopt electrified vehicles. The brand’s first all-electric vehicle, the Solterra, was built in partnership with Toyota and hasn’t been a huge success in the competitive class. That isn’t stopping Subaru from introducing its second all-electric SUV with the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker. While it’s based on the current Solterra, the new Trailseeker is a larger SUV with a lot more power and an eye toward off-roading capability.
Compared to the Solterra, the 2026 Trailseeker is approximately six inches longer and an inch taller, while having the same 8.3 inches of ground clearance. It also features a more rugged design with more robust body cladding and raised roof rails. Its size and design put it between the Outback wagon and the compact Forester.
