Automakers are consistently fretting about losing Generation Y, and they’re turning their attention to reaching us. We think a lot of that lack of interest among Gen Y has to do with economic factors. Things like unemployment and gas prices have a strong impact. Subaru is refreshing the mid-size Legacy sedan and its high-riding Outback wagon sibling for 2013, gifting the pair with reworked styling and a new four-cylinder engine. It’s the first update for the current-generation models, which were introduced for 2010.
