Subaru’s staggering success continues

Subaru’s staggering sales success saw a huge 125% increase in July in a market that shrank by close to 30%. July is not just a blip for Subaru with the brand’s year-to-date accelerating by 158.47% so far in 2021. The official figures issued by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) highlight Subaru as the second fastest growing brand in Britain to the delight of Subaru dealers and managers. Looks Like the 2022 Subaru Forester Will Also Get an Off-Road Wilderness Trim

Subarus are cool, and they’re even cooler with a little bit of lift. That’s objectively true, unless you prefer them to be lowered, of course, but there are whole clubs dedicated to off-roading Subies. The car company knows this and has decided to cut out the middleman with its Wilderness trim, which was first added to the Outback wagon. It’s coming to another model soon, and it looks like that’ll be the Forester. Read More →

Ken Block Pit His WRX STI Rally Car Against His Trophy Truck

Ken Block is no stranger to shenanigans behind the wheel of a rally car. And while in recent years those activities involved a vehicle with a Ford badge, Block has returned to his roots for the 2021. The Hoonigan star currently finds himself campaigning a Vermont SportsCar-prepped Subaru WRX STI in America Rally Association events, something he hasn’t done since 2009. Subaru Teases Another Wilderness Model, Possibly the Ascent

Earlier this year, Subaru showed off the Outback Wilderness, a new trim level that took the already rugged wagon-turned-crossover and prepped it for more serious off-road duties. Now Subaru is applying the Wilderness badge to a new member of their lineup, with two teasers hinting that it might be the Ascent three-row crossover. Read More →

2022 Subaru WRX continues testing ahead of 19 August debut

As seen here in the production-ready prototype spotted some time ago, the new-gen WRX appears to carry evolutionary changes with the new-gen model. Under the concealment, the fascia too appears pretty recognisable. There are some prominent shoulder and rear haunch creases visible on the prototype. Other than that, there are some aggressive body kits, side skirts, and quad exhaust tips. Read More →

2021 Subaru WRX STI Vs. Toyota GR Yaris Judged By WRC Expert In Track Shootout

Since Mitsubishi canned its Lancer Evo almost a decade ago, the Subaru WRX STI has pretty much had the all-wheel drive rally replica market to itself. But Toyota’s little GR Yaris changed all that. The hot Yaris was created to homologate Toyota’s new WRC rally car, and though the company then decided to continue racing with their old car, it still went ahead and delivered the road-legal GR Yaris.
