Is Subaru the safest carmaker of all? According to some new research, it just might be. Findings released by a leading price comparison website show that Subaru drivers make fewer at-fault claims per 1,000 owners than drivers of any other brand of car. Wow, this 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX STI is quite orange. Tangerine actually, but judging by the reaction on Twitter I’d say this car was liked. In the five minutes it took to complete a quick 2-mile jaunt on the main boulevard in Big Bear Lake, California, I counted four last-gen Subaru Foresters. Comparison site moneysupermarket.com analysed over 13 million car insurance quotes run on its website over 12 months, and of the nation’s top 35 favourite car brands it found Subaru drivers make the fewest number of claims for motor accidents, followed by drivers of smart cars and Fiats.
