The Subaru Impreza has to be one of the most commonly tuned cars of the last few decades. If you’re reading this, I’d bet you personally know someone who has an Impreza 2.5RS, WRX or WRX STI making 400 to 800HP. Alister McRae doesn’t do panicking. It’s just not him. Last Friday morning was about as close as the Scot got. The Subaru WRX has been a favorite of rally drivers and light off-roaders for years. The vehicle and its trademarked Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system have won races on almost every continent over the last few decades. Subaru introduced the WRX, then a high performance version of the Impreza sedan and hatchback, in 1992, but it didn’t come to America until ten years later. Last year Subaru debuted a new WRX, no longer based on the Impreza. It… Read More →

Subaru is far and away the winner when it comes to most-seen auto TV ads for July 3-9, with two spots racking up 452.6 million TV ad impressions – more than the other three ads on iSpot’s ranking combined. Although the spots have similar outlay, impression counts and top networks and programs for impression delivery, each set a very different tone. The first-place commercial explains how Subaru has helped nearly 300,000 cancer patients nationwide through… Read More →

Unless something extraordinary happens, this weekend’s New England Forest Rally will confirm Subaru Motorsports USA’s Brandon Semenuk and Keaton Williams as double Green APU American Rally Association National champions. After an intense to-and-fro battle with the late Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino that went right down to the wire last year, things couldn’t have been more different for the Subaru stars in 2023. The three-row crossover SUV segment has seen a recent influx of style and near-luxury accommodations that has left the 2024 Subaru Ascent looking like a rugged, no-nonsense hiking boot amidst an aisle of colorful, fashionable trail running shoes. Oh sure, Subaru tried to spruce up the Ascent last year with a new front end, but the garish new grille just made it ugly instead of forgettable. Meanwhile, the interior saw a worthwhile tech update, but… Read More →
