Car and Driver: Here Are the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness’s Coolest Upgrades

A Subaru Outback is just as natural parked by a million-dollar beach home in Connecticut as it is traversing a campsite in Mount Hood. Most owners, no matter where they live or how much they make, prefer the Outback’s practicality, comfort, and affordable cost over a rock-biting, trailblazing hell of a time. The History-and future-of hitting the road

Scott writes: Do you ever think about roads? Most of us climb into our cars every day and drive without really thinking about it. We go from point A to point B and really don’t consider what’s underneath us unless we hit a pothole or it’s snowing, or the surface underneath us for whatever reason is just nasty. I ran across this article today while reading and found it to be extremely interesting. It covers… Read More →

It’s No Joke: Subaru is Developing a Flying Motorcycle

As Motorcycle.com recently spotted, Japanese automaker Subaru has filed patent applications for a flying motorcycle. The patents describe a land-and-air vehicle that is essentially a motorcycle enclosed within an aircraft fuselage with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities. Both patents describe a similar vehicle, one that can travel on the ground like a motorcycle and, when required, can lift off the ground and fly like an aircraft. The whole thing still sounds like complete science… Read More →

Nearly 10 years ago, Tom Doll and two Subaru of America executives boarded a plane in Newark, N.J., and flew to Tokyo for Fuji Heavy Industries’ annual board of directors meeting. It would have been a routine business trip if not for the date: Sunday, March 13, 2011. Two days prior, Japan had been rocked by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and a tsunami. Despite the obvious destruction that the natural disaster caused, it still wasn’t entirely… Read More →
