We were recently sent a short video showing an unidentified test car traveling on Westbound I-94 in Detroit, Michigan, not far from Ford’s corporate headquarters in Dearborn. Subaru of America has launched a fresh round of advertising centered around a new donation to nonprofit Feeding America amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Camden, N.J.-based unit of Japan’s Subaru, along with its two independent distributors — Subaru of New England and Subaru Distributors Corp. — said they will be donating a total of 100 million meals, or roughly $10 million, to Feeding America. Petter Solberg’s 2004 Rally Japan winning Subaru Impreza S10 has been immaculately reborn courtesy of Prodrive Legends. Subaru Corp. said Wednesday it has acquired a 0.3% stake in Toyota Motor Corp. for about ¥70 billion ($673 million) under a capital tie-up deal reached between the two companies in 2019 to boost the joint development of new technologies for autonomous and electric cars. Japanese automaker Subaru Corp said on Thursday it would cut output this month by “several thousand” vehicles at plants in Japan and the United States, citing a global shortage of semiconductors. A spokesman said Subaru will adjust production at factories in Gunma, Japan and Indiana, reducing output by several thousand vehicles at each, without specifying exactly how many fewer cars will be made.
