Over the weekend, a driver behind the wheel of a rented Tesla launched over a hill in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles before landing on other vehicles at the end of the street. One of those vehicles was allegedly owned by Jordan Hook, whose Subaru Forester was destroyed in the process. And to recoup his losses, Hook has started a GoFundMe. “Hi, I’m Jordan, a local musician here in LA. Last night, I… Read More →

Possum Bourne’s awesome 1982 Subaru Leone rally car has appeared for sale at Webb’s April “Collectors’ Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia” auction house, and compared with other ex-motorsport vehicles, it could be a steal. The 2023 Subaru Solterra doesn’t have 500 horsepower or 300 miles of range. It can’t recharge in 15 minutes or power your house as a backup generator. There’s no frunk, and it won’t bowl you over with outrageous specs or design. We’d consider it a homework assignment turned in late were it not for its off-road acumen, which makes it rather unique among mainstream EVs. Sure, you can ice your shrimp in the frunk of… Read More →

There’s a sense of familiarity when you enter the new 2023 Subaru Solterra. Unlike some of the electric cars that have debuted recently, there’s no learning curve, hidden buttons, or leading-edge technology to cause anxiety. Although the cabin looks more familiar… Read More →

Subaru owners are a loyal bunch, but as more drivers decide to go greener by driving an electric vehicle, those loyalists have been left behind. The closest thing has been the Crosstrek Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid with a meager 17 miles of electric range. Now, though, there’s the new 2023 Subaru Solterra, the brand’s first all-electric vehicle. However, it was developed in partnership with Toyota and without a Subaru-trademark boxer engine, is it really Subaru… Read More →
