Five people were injured following a crash in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah on January 24, with the entire incident being caught on the dashcam of a nearby vehicle. Subaru, however, announced last year that it plans to become carbon neutral by 2050. Okay, all of these carbon neutral goals are well and good, but what does this mean in the real world. While most brands recorded substantial falls in registrations across the country, due to the pandemic, Subaru (which is run in the UK and Europe by British independent importer International Motors) was the hardest hit of any, with a year-on-year decrease of more than 68% compared with 2019. We were recently sent a short video showing an unidentified test car traveling on Westbound I-94 in Detroit, Michigan, not far from Ford’s corporate headquarters in Dearborn. Subaru of America has launched a fresh round of advertising centered around a new donation to nonprofit Feeding America amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Camden, N.J.-based unit of Japan’s Subaru, along with its two independent distributors — Subaru of New England and Subaru Distributors Corp. — said they will be donating a total of 100 million meals, or roughly $10 million, to Feeding America.
