Those in the market for a million-dollar Subaru from the 90s will most likely be looking at the elusive 22B models which have gained value from their rarity, but this WRX tells a completely different story. This WRX was once piloted by the two of the best drivers to ever race in the World Rally Championship, but as you will know, both Possum Bourne and Colin McRae have since passed away. Read More →

Is the 2020 Subaru Outback cool? Not really. Is it fast? No. But is it good looking? Nah, it’s actually sort of nerdy looking. Would I buy one? Yes, because of what it can do. And the public feels that way, too. It was the best-selling midsize crossover in 2016 and 2017, and 2018 and 2019. Whatever the formula is, it’s a winner. And for 2020, it’s new, again. Read More →

Japanese automaker Subaru expects to add up to 350 jobs at its Indiana factory under a $158 million plan to diversity operations at its lone U.S. assembly facility. State and company officials recently announced that the project would construct a new service parts facility and add a transmission assembly shop at Subaru’s 33-year-old facility in Lafayette, about 50 miles northwest of Indianapolis. Brandon Semenuk has today announced he has signed with Subaru Motorsports USA to form half of their rally team alongside action sports legend Travis Pastrana. This is far from Semenuk’s first introduction to rally car racing. The Subaru Outback is one of our favorite cars. Subie’s OG crossover/off-road station wagon is spacious and practical; it’s safe, handles well, and is ready for the worst weather conditions, thanks to Subaru’s outstanding all-wheel-drive system. It meets just about every need (except the one for speed). Indeed, it may be the best all-around family car on the market. Read More →

The Subaru Impreza peaked early. The nameplate enjoys a 28-year heritage, but reached its zenith a mere six years into its life cycle with the iconic WRX STi 22B. Subaru has built quicker models since but none has ever been so perfectly redolent of a moment as this slice of box-arch exotica. A celebration of the company’s third rally world championship in a row, the 22B was, by any conventional product planning logic, a bit… Read More →

I recently had a refresher course in all things Subaru. And, just like their cars, the company does things a little different. So, instead of driving my 2020 Forester on some nice and dry, twisty roads in a completely controlled, almost hermetic experience, I spent the day beating it along some woody trails that would challenge a true SUV. This is what I found out. Read More… Read More →

Russia has been the source of many colorful motoring phenomena. There was the transformation of a Bentley Continental GT into an actual tank, the driver that had tires made of thousands of nails, and a fake Tesla Cybertruck. Now, the nation has made headlines once more, this time for the shocking sighting of a boy – who appeared to be around 10-years-old – nonchalantly driving on the highway in a Subaru WRX S4 sedan with… Read More →
