This Subaru Outback Bachelor-Party Limo Is Perfectly Absurd

Get a group of car enthusiasts together, and goofy ideas flow. Ideas like, say, chopping up a Subaru Outback and a Legacy wagon you have lying around and making a limousine out of the two. You know, the sort of thing that everyone does. We first came across photos of the Subaru limo on Facebook over the weekend, and reached out to the guys that created it. Brandon England, co-owner of The Sube Shop in… Read More →

Calling pace notes with rally superstar Molly Taylor: Subaru rally experience

I’ve been lucky enough to get involved a few forms of motorsport, but one box that needed ticking was a gravel experience. Just as well, Subaru Motorsport Australia has just completed their promotional rally ride car which is based off the WRX STI NR4. Sure, it wasn’t the full backfiring anti-lag monster that’s raced in the Australian Rally Championship, but as a way to introduce punters to the sport the NR4 car is a happy… Read More →

An Off-Road Review of the Subaru Forester Touring

I’m strapped into the rear seat of a 2019 Subaru Forester Touring, an all-wheel-drive SUV, anxiously awaiting the start of the 2019 Oregon Trail Rally recce day. Over 85 Percent Of All Wagons Sold Here Are Subaru Outbacks

The Subaru Outback sells well for its segment. In fact, according to J.D. Power data referenced in a CNBC video on the U.S. wagon market, the Outback makes up basically the entire U.S. wagon market. To be clear, that market is still incredibly small. The data shows that wagons represent 1.4 percent of all U.S. sales, with the Outback accounting for 1.2 percent of all U.S. sales on its own. Put another way, 85 percent… Read More →

Subaru Didn’t Plan to Sell Many Ascents, but Subaru’s Expectations Were Far Too Modest

Subaru didn’t believe the Ascent would add much to the brand’s monthly U.S. sales totals.A year ago, it looked like Subaru’s forecasts were right on target. Roughly 5,000 U.S. sales per month? Check. Incremental brand-wide growth? Of course. Negligible impact on competitors? Indeed. But the Ascent’s early capacity for helping Subaru keep its loyal customers loyal has evolved into something quite a bit more useful for the constantly-growing Japanese brand. Ascent volume is rising, rapidly so,… Read More →
