The Subura Outback has been named as a Top Safety Pick+ by the US-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), due in no small part to the EyeSight system which is fitted to all UK spec models with the Lineartronic CVT gearbox. Subaru is giving their all-wheel-drive “go-anywhere” vehicles more luxury than before. They are known for their off-road ability, but Subaru is also wanting to move the brand in a more refined direction. Subaru’s goal of being the overall safety leader is achieved again by their lineup of AWD vehicles being awarded the highest standard of safety by IIHS. Subaru announced the 2016 Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, Impreza, WRX and Legacy are all 2016 TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rated, along with receiving the highest possible rating of “Good” for five crashworthiness tests as well as “Superior” for front crash prevention. Groundbreaking took place Wednesday for the brand-new headquarters for Subaru of America on Admiral Wilson Boulevard. The facility is expected to bring more jobs to the city. The site will house an estimated 700 employees, and is expected to be ready in late 2017. It is located next to Campbell Soup’s headquarters and expected to be part of a larger corporate office park. Subaru is looking at two options to improve the STI’s fuel economy. The first is a standard hybrid drivetrain made up of a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four engine that works jointly with an electric motor and a six-speed dual-clutch transmission to spin all four wheels. Subaru’s BRZ Series.HyperBlue is a limited run of the 500 BRZ. So once they’re gone, they are gone. The BRZ is a small rear-drive coupe with a 4-cylinder, 200 hp engine equipped with a slick-shifting manual transmission. (Or, if you must, there is an optional automatic.
