Subaru is teasing a new model that’s slated to debut at the 2023 Los Angeles auto show in a few weeks. Based on the fact that it’s one of the oldest models in the automaker’s lineup and hasn’t been redesigned for several years, we think it’s the 2025 Subaru Forester compact SUV. From what we can see from the teaser image, it looks like the new Forester will have a new wheel design and different… Read More →

Subaru has been on a roll with a series of debuts in recent months. After introducing the BRZ tS and the WRX TR, the automaker is gearing up to reveal a more thoroughly revamped, next-generation product at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16. Although we know when it will be revealed, we don’t yet know what it is, since Subaru has only provided a single photo of the “all-new fully redesigned vehicle” that… Read More →

Once a popular pick in the compact segment, with standard AWD, durable construction and decent value all part of the package, the Subaru Impreza now seems to be an afterthought. At least that’s what sales charts in recent years suggest. The automaker’s conservative approach in evolving times is only one reason for the decline. For 2024, both the Impreza and the Impreza-based Crosstrek usher in a new generation. The latter is a much better seller,… Read More →

Subaru is hopping on the Tesla charging port bandwagon. The automaker has announced that it will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) for “certain” electric vehicles starting in 2025. Subaru says it will also supply NACS charging adapters to customers who own or lease an EV with the Combined Charging System (CCS) standard in 2025. The company has been relatively slow to adopt EVs. It currently only offers the Solterra, and even that’s only… Read More →

First and foremost, side crashes account for nearly a quarter of passenger vehicle occupant deaths in the United States of America. Vehicle sides offer little space to absorb energy as opposed to the front and rear of a given vehicle, which flaunt crumple zones. Be that as it may, stronger passenger cells and side airbags make 2024 vehicles way safer than equivalents from a decade ago. Read More →

While the speed of a race gives everyone an adrenaline rush, sometimes it can reach spectators at their doorstep. After all, while soaring at hundreds of miles per hour, accidents become quite commonplace. A 15-year-old clip shows a strange car crash. It captures how a slight misjudgment can lead to a massive mishap, putting vehicles in places where they simply do not belong. Read More →

Subaru, (OTCPK:FUJHY), or native ticker 7270 in Japan which is the one that I invest in, is an impressive automotive business with an upside that is one of the four Japanese companies I currently invest in. I have been invested in Subaru for about a year at this point, and despite a recent decline, I’m in the green on this position on an overall basis. Subaru has reported 1Q24 results, and these are results that… Read More →

Not every comparison has a clear winner and loser. When driver engagement and other factors are virtually even, it’s down to intangibles like mission fulfillment to determine which vehicle best represents its future owners’ needs. Even then, as is the case with subcompact SUVs like the 2024 Hyundai Kona and 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, mere hairs can span the gap between first and second place. Their intended audiences might be radically different, but both of these… Read More →

This year’s Tokyo auto show has been overrun by electric sports car concepts, a welcome surprise in a world increasingly dominated by crossovers. Toyota showed off the angular FT-Se, Mazda presented the sleek Iconic SP with a rotary range-extender, Honda revived the Prelude name, and Nissan hinted at a future GT-R. Not to be outdone, Subaru showed off its own concept, the brawny Sport Mobility concept seen here, complete with boxy wheel arches and vivid… Read More →

Subaru and motorsport is a combination that conjures up more than a little nostalgia, so we are completely and utterly on-board for this Subaru Sport Mobility concept. Slap some rally stickers and gold wheels on it immediately. Revealed today at the Japan Mobility Show, we know one thing – and only one thing about it: it’s electric. There are no power figures or motor set-up info to go on, merely the knowledge that somewhere in… Read More →
