After several attempts thwarted by a pandemic and even snow, the Headwaters Rally in Northern Minnesota made a triumphant return on Saturday. Subaru Motorsports USA’s Brandon Semenuk leads the Oregon Trail Rally after the opening two stages on Friday evening. For nearly two decades, Headwaters was a mainstay in the rally world. It’s operated by the same group that organizes the Ojibwe Forest Rally each year, and the event is a staple for the Minnesota rally community. Subaru of Indiana Automotive is celebrating the start of production of the Crosstrek vehicle at the Lafayette plant today. It is the first time production of the Crosstrek has occurred in the U.S. as SIA is Subaru’s only manufacturing facility outside of Japan. There will soon be three more Subaru electric vehicles. And more “Subaru” Subaru EVs. Subaru’s only current EV is the Solterra (pictured above), a decent but not spectacular EV that was a bit hampered by a rocky introduction to the market.
