Subaru profits plunged by nearly half in the latest quarter as the Japanese automaker felt the effects of crimped production and falling sales amid the global semiconductor shortage. Apparently, and much to my surprise, people are kind of mad at Subaru and the new 2022 Subaru WRX. What they’re mad about is even more puzzling. Subaru of America says its sales fell 40 percent in October from year-earlier levels, reflecting the continued impact of supply-chain shortages.
