A more rugged version of what we know as the Subaru WRX Sportswagon is coming, according to a report out of Japan. Much as the Liberty wagon spawned the Outback and the Impreza the XV/Crosstrek, Best Car Web reports the Levorg – as the WRX Sportswagon is known there – will get a higher-riding version. The good folks at Edmunds do it differently from the usual standing quarter mile, though. Their U-Drag Race format begins with a quarter mile, followed by a braking zone and a hairpin turn. The contenders then duke it out back to the start/finish line. That being said, let’s take a look at how these Subarus stack up in terms of power, torque, curb weight, and starting price. Starting later in 2023, Subaru BRZ buyers in Japan won’t need to give up the manual transmission to order the EyeSight suite of electronic driving aids (or vice versa). The company developed a version of its well-regarded technology that’s compatible with three-pedal cars for its home market. The new version of EyeSight is based on the technology that’s already offered on the automatic BRZ. It bundles several driving aids such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive… Read More →

The 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness builds on the already solid reputation the Forster cultivated for over two decades. Even in its earliest form, back in 1998, the Subaru Forster offered a combination of utilitarian packaging, all-wheel drive (AWD) capability and just a hint of fun. I should know, my fiancé and I bought one in 1999 as a 2000 model. It lasted through the early days of marriage, and children – in Colorado. It’s still… Read More →
