After much anticipation, the all-new 2022 Subaru WRX debuted last month. In the US, the new rally-inspired WRX is only available as a sedan. In Australia, however, you can also buy a more practical Sportswagon variant. Before you get too excited, Subaru has no plans to bring the new high-performance WRX wagon to the US. Essentially, the WRX Sportswagon is a rebadged version of the Levorg sold in Japan save for a more aggressive lower fascia and larger wheels.
Subaru Australia hasn’t announced what lies under the hood, but it should pack the same 2.4-liter boxer four-cylinder producing 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque as the American WRX Sedan.
