Like many motorsports, rally doesn’t hold the same popularity here in the United States as it does in Europe or Asia. But that doesn’t mean organizations like the American Rally Association are accepting stagnation as a standard for one of the more accessible forms of motorsport.
Instead, the American Rally Association (ARA) is putting its money where it matters, as the governing body announces a major investment into growing the sport. Namely, a National Rally Training center is coming soon to Booneville, Kentucky, and will be focused on event organizing, permitting, insurance, and all the other logistical headaches that go into hosting a successful race. It may not be as glamorous as the handbrake entries or even reading the Jemba notes, but the real heroes of grassroots motorsport are often the quiet organizers.
