The history of the Subaru Impreza WRX STi

Few cars in automotive history have been designed with pure performance in mind. The mythical Impreza also has an impressive pedigree in the competition, something in which the initials STi have a lot to do.
In 1992, Subaru launched the Impreza, a C segment passenger car that came to face the Honda Civic, the Toyota Corolla or what would eventually end up being its intimate enemy: the Mitsubishi Lancer. And, like all of them except the Civic, the Impreza ended up writing in the history books of the world of rallying with letters of gold.
Three constructors ‘world titles and as many as pilots’ in the World Rally Championship represent the high point of the Impreza in the competition, but his legacy goes far beyond the stages and transcends the automotive Olympus along with other mechanical jewels already remembered in our section, Loves of Youth. Hold on, because we’re not going to slow down.
