When it comes to three-row family SUVs, the Subaru Ascent has been our number-one pick, and we rank it as the highest in value for your dollar in the segment. Moving to the 2023 model year, the Ascent’s pricing rises, but the SUV’s value (on paper) appears to hold. Even so, the Subaru sees an average price increase of around $2,400; hey, no one likes paying more, but that’s 2022 for you. Prices ascend by $2,100 in the Limited trims and a $3,400 rise in cost on the Onyx trim. At least Subaru decided to make the bigger 11.6-inch infotainment screen standard across the Ascent lineup in addition to refreshing the model overall, partially offsetting the lower trims’ price increases.
