The Subaru Outback was one of the few vehicles to champion the lifted wagon aesthetic, but it looks like that era is over with the 2026 model. Say hello to the brawnier, more SUV-looking redesigned Outback, with more upright lines but not necessarily more space inside. Among its updates, we’re looking for the new version to receive an available hybrid powertrain. Midsize SUV rivals include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota Crown Signia, and Mazda CX-70.
