Usually, you might think a quote like this, which describes the Subaru Brataroo 9500, is PR puff. But Hoonigan’s Gymkhana series doesn’t need clumsy self-promotion. It’s racked up over a billion views and is the living, breathing, tyre-destroying ray of sunshine that proves cool cars doing cool things still connects with people of all ages.
The quote also demands respect because it comes from Travis Pastrana, who has taken up the challenge of ever more insane Gymkhanas since the tragic death of Ken Block. And Travis Pastrana’s crazy scale isn’t like ours. Or anyone else’s, honestly.
