The first thing you notice when you start the tour at the Subaru plant in Lafayette, Ind., is the noise. I’ve spent a lot of time in Subaru WRX STIs lately, and it’s turned out to be enlightening. Americans just can’t seem to get their fill of Subarus for some reason. As an official Base Team of Subaru Tecnica International (STI), JRM has built the world’s newest production rally car in conjunction with engineers at Subaru’s motorsport division in Japan. The car is suitable for use in the FIA European Rally Championship. With sunnier weather abound and an 18,000-mile service complete (oil and filter change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection), it was time to ratchet up the STI’s spiciness. Subaru maker Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd said more than 100 cars that were imported from Japan and were awaiting customs clearance in a warehouse had been damaged by broken windows. The warehouse, which does not belong to Fuji Heavy, is about 2 km (1.2 miles) from the blast site, it said. Read More →

The new 2015 Subaru Levorg is selling extremely well in its home country of Japan and is already outselling the new generation performance 2015 WRX two to one. JRM Racing has signed leading Prodrive engineer Paul Eastman to lead its advanced engineering department as it works towards a Mini World Rallycross programme.
