Subaru to Create 350 Jobs in $158 Million Indiana Expansion

Japanese automaker Subaru expects to add up to 350 jobs at its Indiana factory under a $158 million plan to diversity operations at its lone U.S. assembly facility.
State and company officials recently announced that the project would construct a new service parts facility and add a transmission assembly shop at Subaru’s 33-year-old facility in Lafayette, about 50 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The project would be the latest in a series of investments at the complex, including the addition of a new crossover model and a new technical training center that opened last year.
